May, June, September and October are the best all-round times to visit Cyprus — warm weather, a swimmable sea, and far fewer crowds than high summer. July and August are hottest and busiest (perfect for a pure beach-and-party trip), while winter is mild, green and cheap, with hiking and even skiing in the Troodos Mountains.
